Whimsy: Quail Egg Momo
Playing with leftover momo peel I made these adorable quail egg momos by creating a pouch filling it with miso sauce and plunking a quail in the center. Then I steamed for 2-3 minutes.
So adorable and tender!
(miso sauce was 3 T mirin, 1 T water, and 1/2 c miso heated in a sauce pan until thick, 3-5 minutes. 2 egg yolks were carefully whisked in and then cooked over low for 2 more minutes.)
These are so cute! You are very creative.
ReplyDeleteYou're right! These are adorable! What a lovely breakfast treat! Beautifully put together!
ReplyDeleteI also like quail eggs katie. This momo is certainly very cute!
ReplyDeleteWhimsy, but so cool. I love this with a little dry sauteed mushrooms on the side.
ReplyDeleteGreat site - I just noticed your site link in a post over at the Paupered Chef. We transformed an old defunct gas grill into a charcoaler. I think if you get a charcoal grill you will notice immediately that your food will not dry out as it does on a gas grill.
ReplyDeleteMmmm great idea!
